"I Do"

Deitra + Curtis's micro wedding on their family property was so beautiful and filled with sweet moments. Nestled in the woods that overlooked a beautiful mountain range was the perfect place for this couple to say "I Do".

A few weeks ago, one of their daughters contacted me asking if I was available for a "last minute" micro wedding! I of course said yes and asked when it would be. NEW YEARS EVE! I immediately got excited and told her I would love to be a part of this special day. This couple has a beautiful family together already and they wanted to continue their love story with getting married again. What a great way to end the year. I got so excited for them and immediately started planning.

I asked the Bride if she has one word to describe her love story and she simply answered, "always". Always love with them, through it all they lean on each other. I wanted to dedicate my time with them to capturing the "always".

She shared it has been a difficult year that brought losing a loved one. She wanted all her family to be present for this moment but knew those that had passed were still present. She created a beautiful area at the ceremony that had a rocking chair, a quilt, and pictures of their very missed family. This moved me and I snapped a couple shots of this sweet setup.

As she came down the aisle I saw what she meant by "always". The look in his eyes were filled with joy and love. Seeing them on their family property and dedicate their lives and love to each other was a moment to remember. I glanced every few moments to see the reactions of their family and closest friends and they were all sooooo happy for this couple.

A short and sweet ceremony with written vows to each other and a moment of connection made this time together special and memorable.
